Runcorn Community Action Fund

FOR GROUPS

The fund has been established with the remaining assets of the charity RUNCAT following the winding up of the charity. The fund is administered by the Community Foundation for Merseyside and aims to improve the quality of life for residents in specific areas of Runcorn as per the original aims and objectives of the fund. The areas covered include the social housing areas of Brookvale, Castlefields, Palace Fields, Halton Brook, Halton Lodge and The Grange. Funding has now been all allocated for Murdishaw and Hallwood Park.

Grants of between £500 and £1000 are available and there is approximately £6k remaining in the fund. We would particularly welcome applications from the Palacefields area.

The fund wishes to encourage residents to get more involved in community life and come together to make changes in their local neighbourhoods for the benefit of all residents. Residents are encouraged to get together and work out how the funding can be best spent in the area, building on the assets and skills that already exist in the area rather than focusing on its needs.

Please download guidelines available here for further information.

Groups who have received funding from this fund before can reapply but please note that priority will be given to those groups who have not previously received a grant from the fund.

To apply, please use our standard grants application form available here.
