Background Information: The Lancashire Community Investment Fundaims to bring together businesses, organisations and individuals to address urgent social issues whilst making a modest financial commitment to collectively have a greater impact in the improvement of our communities. The fund can also be used as a vehicle to distribute any funds received on an ad hoc basis by the Community Foundation.
What is the focus of the fund: Following receipt of a donation from a local charity along with additional funds from our Lancashire Community Investment Fund, the panel wishes to fund voluntary and community groups working in the following areas:
Banks, Bispham, Bretherton, Burscough, Charnock Richard, Coppull, Croston, Eccleston, Euxton, Hilldale, Hesketh Bank, Heskin, Hutton, Longton, New Longton, Mawdesley, Much Hoole, Parbold, Rufford, Scarisbrick, Tarleton, Ulnes Walton, Walmer Bridge, Wrightington.
How much is available: Grants of up to £1000 are available and the total budget available is £10,000
Any special criteria: The panel prefers to fund capital costs and specific projects rather than ongoing running costs.
