The Dulverton Trust Fund

What is the focus of the fund: Applications should address at least one of the Dulverton Trust’s priorities of youth opportunities, general welfare, conservation and preservation. The Fund will support a wide range of charitable activities and particularly aims to support projects that:

 

-          Support local solutions to meet local needs

-          Promote community cohesion

-          Develop sustainable and supportive communities

-          Provide social and educational development opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people

-          Support the general conservation and protection of wildlife habitats

-          Preservation (particularly heritage skills)

 

Exclusions:

-          Individuals

-          Retrospective grants

-          Direct replacement of statutory obligation and public funding

-          Individual schools or other educational establishments

-          Health, medicine and medical conditions including drug and alcohol addiction

-          Therapy and counselling

-          Specific support for people with disabilities

-          The arts*, including theatre, music and drama

-          Sport*, including sports centres and individual playing field projects

-          Animal welfare or projects concerning the protection of single species

-          Expeditions and overseas trips

-          Research projects

-          Conferences, cultural festivals, exhibitions and events

-          Applications solely for salaries of specific posts – although sessional staff hours and contributions towards salary of permanent staff as part of project costs may be considered

-          Major building projects, including the purchase of property or land.
-          Endowments

*Except where used as a means of achieving one of the Dulverton Trust’s funding priorities.

 

Who can apply: Registered charities, social enterprises, churches, parish councils and constituted community groups with an annual income of less than £200,000. Applicants must be based and have a track record of delivery within Lancashire or Merseyside.

 

How much is available: Grants of between £500 and £5000

 

Which areas are covered: Lancashire and Merseyside (Including Halton)

 

When can you apply: There will be three grant panel meetings per year to make decisions on applications. We can only accept one application per community group for each round of funding. If you have received a grant from the fund previously you are welcome to apply again though end of grant monitoring must be complete.

 

How to apply:

Go to www.lancsfoundation.org.uk or www.cfmerseyside.org.uk to complete an online application using the relevant application form. Once you have submitted the online application you will need to submit all the documents listed below. If you do not submit all the relevant documents within 7 days your application will be withdrawn. Supporting documents can now be attached to your online application or you can email the supporting documents to us at applications@cflm.email or they can be posted to the address below, quoting your reference number.

 

The next closing date is Friday 12th April 2019 (4pm) and applicants should expect to hear the outcome of their application at the end of June.

 

Documents which need to be included with your application

1. A copy of the group’s rules or constitution

2. List of Trustees/Management Committee

3. A copy of the group’s latest annual accounts or income/expenditure document

4. A copy of a recent bank statement for your group

5. A copy of the group’s current Safeguarding Policy. All applicants must ensure that they hold relevant policies and procedures in place to undertake activities, such as DBS checks and/or a health and safety policy, depending on proposed activity.
