Community Foundation for Lancashire trustee, Peter Butterfield, has been named Business Journalist of the Year for his contributions to Lancashire Business View (LBV).

Mr Butterfield has recently retired from the magazine but will remain involved as a consultant.

In his time at the title he oversaw a re-brand and redesign, revamped LBV's web presence and introduced features such as Young ‘Uns and The Players.

Mr Butterfield said: "Winning the award is a wonderful finale to my career now that I have retired, but I could not have achieved anything without the unstinting support of the Lancashire Business View team."

Mr Butterfield's successful career in the media lends itself perfectly to his involvement with the Community Foundation as he is on hand to offer advice and guidance to the board and staff on media and communications activity.
