Individuals

The Community Foundation offers the opportunity to individuals and families to establish and develop a charitable fund to achieve their philanthropic aims.

*philanthropy n. The effort or inclination to increase the well-being of humankind, as by charitable aid or donations.

We support our donors in ensuring that their philanthropy achieves the greatest impact in the community. One of the advantages to the donor is that the burden of reporting and administration that can be experienced with running a traditional charitable trust is taken away, as we take care of it all.

We encourage our donors to direct us on what they want to achieve which could be improving a geographical area, tackling an issue or remembering a loved one. Donors decide on all grants made and have the opportunity to visit the projects funded, to understand community needs at a local level.

Our Community Foundation team works with donors in order to create and tailor personal giving plans with the flexibility of changing fund criteria in the future - unlike a traditional charitable trust.

We take on all administration, grants assessments, legal reporting and financial management, in return for a nominal fee to cover our administration costs as a charity.
