We've been nominated for an award!
We're so pleased to announce that the Community Foundation for Lancashire is a "Fundraising Campaign" finalist at the 2017 North West Charity Awards.
Our nomination follows our fundraising work for our
Lancashire Flood Recovery Appeal, following the devastation Storms Desmond and Eva wreaked on our county in late 2015.
Our approach to fundraising for the appeal was perfectly timed to meet the challenges that the floods brought with them. The fundraising campaign was managed in house by our expert staff, working with our partners to raise vital funds to distribute to our community.
We kick-started the appeal with a £5,000 donation from our own Lancashire Community Investment Fund and Lancaster City Council agreed to donate to the appeal.
About the awards
For the first time, North West charities and not-for-profit organisations now have an opportunity to be celebrated and recognised for their outstanding contributions to their communities. The awards have been created to shout about all the great things charities have been doing in the North West.
