Under the guidance of the Philanthropy Director, I support the delivery of our Community Philanthropy Strategy and Growth Plans, working closely with the Business Development Executive for Community Knowledge & Research.

My primary tasks involve; Marketing activities, including - media relations, brand & reputation management, website & social media management and donor reporting.  I also manage the professional delivery of Community Foundation events including securing and the delivery of sponsorship.

My work experience, over 4 years, is largely related with marketing and sales activities including both Business-to- Business and Business-to- Consumer. I have created and developed a variety of marketing channels to accomplish the objectives of the organisations I have worked for. Whether it be through greater brand awareness, new fund launches and roll-outs and working alongside other marketing professionals and agencies.

The Lancashire Flood Recovery Appeal set up in December 2015 in response to the effects of Storm Desmond and Eva. Aimed to initially raise funds of £20,000 to directly support individuals and families in hardship and vital community organisations and resident groups in the areas affected by the floods. To date the Appeal has raised over £1million and helped thousands across Lancashire.

During 2016, I was heavily involved in the rebrand process of the Community Foundations.  Working closely with stakeholders, donors and staff, a new look logo was launched with a revamped, modern and professional website.  The process involved messaging and direction workshops, resulting in the new strapline: Growing Stronger Communities Together.

I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2013 with a 1st with Honours in Tourism and Leisure Management.  I am also a qualified Emergency First Aider for the Workplace.

Outside of the workplace, I consider myself as an amateur gardener and often think of myself as the next Gordon Ramsey. I enjoy spending time cooking for friends and family, the purchase of a new dishwasher helps with the stress.  I have started to take up walking / hiking as a hobby, with the aim of climbing the three peaks over the next three years.
