Community Philanthropy Executive - Manchester

Phone: 0151 232 2421
I currently work as part of the Community Philanthropy Team assessing funding applications, focusing on those submitted by groups based in Manchester, and offering administrative support.
In total, I have worked for the Community Foundations for 7 years. I previously managed the YouthBank project in Merseyside and coordinated the Philanthropy Fellowship initiative across both counties. YouthBank empowered young people to make positive changes within their communities while the Fellowship brought like-minded people together to share knowledge, experience and resources to make a difference locally. Prior to discovering the Charity Sector, I worked within the Finance Teams of two local retailers where my key role was cash office support.
I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2009 with a 2:1 Combined Hons. Law and Spanish degree. Through my work at the Community Foundations, I regularly use CRM software (Salesforce); I have gained valuable experience in supporting the delivery of numerous grant programmes and project management. I am also qualified in First Aid at Work.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my young son as well as family and friends. I love a good book, listening to a range of music and watching a variety of films. I spend half the year waiting impatiently for Game of Thrones to come back on TV then wishing the weeks away so I can discover what will happen next – especially now I’ve finished the books! I’m passionate about Liverpool FC and the rollercoaster of supporting them season in, season out keeps things interesting to say the least…
